Kellen

Today my sister Erica was putting gel in Kellen's hair to give him the baby fauxhak (spelled wrong?) He then moved his head away and said "NO!". This boy is 10 months old and already knows how to say NO. We are in trouble!

The Hills

My husband makes fun of me because I love the show, The Hills. I make sure to watch it every Monday night. My brother-in-law even likes it so it can't be all that bad. For those of you that love it please comment! Maybe someday I can convince Tommy that it's a super show!

Gold Medal Gymnast 2018

Katie has caught the gymnastics fever. She loves to climb and play on the all the fun apparatuses. We are now working to keep her hands on the floor while doing tricks. I am trying to help her but what does mom know? I was only in gymnastics for years myself, but still, what does mom know.
We are really happy that she gets to climb and play in the gym instead of the household furniture!

More Cruise Pics

We have just finished snorkling in Lovers Cove. So fun!!
Here we are having dinner in the grand ballroom (or so they call it the grand ballroom)

Our Cruise

This August we went on a cruise down the California coast and into Mexico. It was my first cruise and Tommy's second. It was a lot of fun! We left from LA and then sailed to San Diego. We went to the San Diego Zoo for the day. We had a blast! I finally got to see my favorite animal, the panda.

The second day we arrived at Catalina Island. We went snorkling in Lovers Cove. The fish were really pretty and would come right up to you with out a problem. The cove is protected from fishing so they are used to humans swimming around just checking them out. After we went swimming and such we walked around the little town. It was the cutest little town. Everyone was so nice and happy to be near the beach. We plan to go for a vacation on the island and take the kids this time too.

The third day we went to Ensenada, Mexico. It was a step up from Nogales or Tijiuana. It was fun but hard to see little children having to beg for money or sell gum. When we got back to the ship I said a prayer or gratitude! Ensenada was fun but I liked San Diego and Catalina Island better.

The ship was huge and always had something going on. One night there were some jazz musicians in the main gallery. Tommy and I sat at the little library next to them playing cards and listening to the music.

Then one night the chefs hosted a chocolate buffet. That was so yummy and super fun! I had to force myself to stay up because it was at midnight. It was worth waiting!

After all that we were able to do it was nice to return home and see our two little ones. The cruise was four nights long. It was the perfect length.

Yo Gabba Gabba

Tommy's childhood buddy created Yo Gabba Gabba that is now airing on Nickelodeon everyday at 10:30am. This show has helped us get Katie to eat her dinner. It's great! It's a little old school but a good show all around.

Enchilada Testimony, huh?

Katie has a wonderful imagination and sense of humor. We were pretending that a mean shark was coming to get us. In order to be safe we had to duck under my comforter on my bed. Upon asking her if her shark had a name she replied "yes, enchilada testimony". It took everything I had not to laugh! She comes up with the funniest names for all her make believe little friends or foes in this case!

Katie!!!

Katie is learning to ride her two wheel bike. She loves to strap on her helmet and ride. We have since purchased her a princess bike that all the neighbor kids love to ride too. She is getting so good and she is so excited to be good enough to take off her training wheels!!!

Good Morning

This morning Kellen woke up super early. Tommy was still at home getting ready for work so I had him put Kellen in his little swing and give him his morning bottle. While he was drinking his bottle Tommy put on baby Einstein to stimulate his little brain (okay, really I get another half an hour of sleep). So as I was laying in bed I heard the movie end. I was expecting him to give a little yell for me to come and get him. I didn't hear one so I thought he was still working on his bottle. All of the sudden I heard a little hello sound from Kellen and it sounded awfully close. I looked down to the foot of the bed and there he was! He had climbed out of his swing (three to four inches off the ground) and crawled into to my room. Of course, this is not with out making pit stop at the dog food first. As I picked him up I could smell the dog food on his breath! It was so nasty! I guess the days of me sleeping while he watches his little movie are over. I knew it would end some day...I just didn't know that today was it!

My favorite website

We just got back from a cruise in Mexico. It was so fun. I promise to put pictures up asap. While on the cruise we met a great couple that is from Layton, Utah. They own their own furniture business. They make custom furniture. I looked at their website and their furniture is really great! I just talked to her today and she said they can do anything your heart desires. If you feel like ordering from them be sure to call me because I can get a really good deal for you! Their website is posted on the blog. Or you can go to just4uinteriors.com

My little man

This weekend Katie got a puzzle from her great grandparents for her birthday. She was playing with it on our coffee table in the family room. Kellen was getting really upset because he could not reach the puzzle pieces. He wanted more than anything to chew on a puzzle piece! So he pulled himself to his knees which was really all he could do at that point. Yet still, even on his knees, he was not tall enough. He was getting so frustrated at how he could not reach a puzzle piece. Then finally, you could see the resolve in his little eyes, he pulled himself into standing position (first time ever) and got a puzzle piece. I looked over at Kellen and found him munching on a puzzle piece with a very proud grin! Too bad I took it away. I guess there is something to say for persistence... The secret of success is constancy to purpose. ~Benjamin Disraeli:

Aw, Isn't That Cute

Katie thinks that it is so fun to try and lay on Kellen while he is trying to crawl away from her. Of course this makes Kellen mad because he can't move. Stinker! Really though, she is a great big sister! However, much like her mother did when she was little, Katie likes to tease her younger sibling.
